For a Friday night it had plenty of cars in the lot but service was still excellent. We were seated right away and our waitress brought us fresh, hot bread and a delicious red pepper and oil dipping sauce.
We ordered the lasagna and the stuffed vodka ravioli. Both came with either a soup or salad and we opted for the salad. It needed a little pepper but was very good.
Our food didn't take long at all and the lasagna was excellent, almost as good as mine(!) and the stuffed ravioli was so good. My husband also ordered a Shiraz and the pour was very generous and he said the wine was very good.
Our waitress was great about checking on us to see if we needed anything. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be pleased with their food and the decor was very beautiful. It could easily be a fancy date night place or a place for families. -

Okay so without writing an entire book, I'll just give highlights.
The good:
-Food was pretty good!!! Big portions!
-The restaurant itself was clean and updated really nicely.
The bad:
-Our server was terrible. She couldn't speak English very well and told us it was her first night ever serving. She was very nice and always smiled but she definitely has a ways to go. She had to ask us multiple times to repeat things we ordered, etc., didn't seem to know the menu very well and had NO sense of timing. She acted completely baffled that after 30 minutes of just sitting there after finishing our meals that we wanted our check. Like, she acted like we needed to sit there all night.
-From start to finish, we were there nearly 3 hours. We were sat immediately (we called ahead since we were a larger party of 8 plus a high chair) which was nice. But after that, all we did was wait. Waited forever to be greeted, forever to order drinks, forever to get said drinks, forever to order food, forever to get bread, forever to get refills, forever to get salads, forever to get meals, forever to get boxes and forever to get our check. There is absolutely NO reason for being in that restaurant more than like 1.5-2 hours at the very most.
Even though the food was good, I would not recommend eating here just for the simple fact of terrible service. -

Came here for dinner when we were at Myrtle beach for a few days.
Got the manicotti dish and my friend got the gnocchi. My manicotti dish was alright, if I was coming back here, I would probably get something else. Friend thought the gnocchi was ok but soft and gummy and undercooked in the middle. The portions were plenty.
If you're in the area and want some Italian food, give this place a try. -

A sure sign of a great restaurant is a full parking lot at 10:30 p.m. on a Wednesday night. Toscana Italian kitchen does notdisappoint. Possibly the best lobster ravioli I have ever had. The entree salads are beautiful, and the bread is soft, chewy, and piping hot from the oven. Attentive service in a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We will definitely be back.
